Discover the imperial cities of Morocco in 5-days from Marrakech! You will visit the cities of Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes and Fez, exploring their medinas, their emblematic monuments and soaking up their unique atmosphere. You will also have the opportunity to visit the archaeological site of Volubilis, a well-preserved ancient Roman city.
Your Imperial Cities tour begins in Marrakech, the Red City, known for its bustling medina, sumptuous palaces and lush gardens. You'll have the opportunity to visit iconic attractions such as Jemaa el-Fna Square, where you can get lost in colorful souks, sample Moroccan cuisine and enjoy street performances. You also visit the Bahia Palace, a magnificent example of Moroccan architecture, as well as the Majorelle Gardens, a peaceful place adorned with exotic plants.
After breakfast, you leave Marrakech and head to Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco. You visit the famous Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Then, you continue your journey to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here you explore the historic medina, the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, iconic sites of Moorish architecture.
Your next stop will take you to Meknes, another imperial city known for its ramparts and monumental gates. You visit the Bab Mansour gate, one of the most beautiful gates in Morocco, and you discover the royal stables and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismaïl.
Leaving Meknes, you will make a stop at Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman archaeological site. You can stroll among the ruins and admire the ancient mosaics that bear witness to the region's glorious past. Next, you travel to Fez, one of the oldest imperial cities in Morocco.
Your fourth day will be devoted to the discovery of Fez, a city rich in history and culture. You visit the famous Al Quaraouiyine University, one of the oldest universities in the world, and the ancient Koranic schools (Bou Inania, Attarine), You will also discover the tanners' quarters, where you can observe the traditional leather tanning process. Don't miss a visit to the royal palace and gardens of Jnan Sbil, a peaceful place to relax in the middle of the bustling city.
The last day of your tour, heading towards the starting point Marrakech, you will return via the Atlas Mountains road, passing through Ifrane, Little Switzerland and also Khénifra and its magnificent Lake.
